Ended Official BYC Valentine Puns Contest Series - Count Cupid's Candies, a Count the M&Ms Contest

Ok,,,,,,
if the average dinner plate is 10.5 inches in diameter (google)
and it fits two of those dishes with some extra, I can say that they are probably 4.5 inches in diameter
this gives the dishes an area of 113 cm
an m&m has a diameter of 1.04 cm (google)
which gives it an area of 0.85 cm
divide 113 by 0.85 equals 132 m&ms per layer
but because of the circle shape I'm going to subtract like 10 for the empty spaces
I'm going to estimate 5 layers
so that's 122x5=610 per dish
then 610x3= 1830
my second guess is 1830
