From turners stopping and temperatures and humidities dropping and soaring, it's sure a good thing we all have each other for moral support! Thanks for all the encouragement! My lockdown day is tomorrow, so far my temps are back between 100.5 and 101. Good luck to the rest of you all!

I think the purpose of the fan IS to keep the temp stable and equal throughout the bator. Otherwise you get cold spots, without it.

That is soooo cool! What a great idea!

yes you are correct on the fan. People think it dries the egg out but if you have your humidity where it is suppose to be then you have nothing to worry about. Think of humidity as smoke...only clear. If your smoke is thick like it should be...then the fan just moves it around the inside of the bator along with stabilizing the temperature everywhere inside. With the fan off you will have cold spot's and even spots that are not as humid as they should be for your hatch.

Yes, we are on the letter, "M," for the name game ... what are you gonna name your chick? (Christmas related, of course)

M
Mary
Mistletoe (well, ok, it would be a funny name!)
Myrrh (?)
Mirth (hmm, sounds like a name to me!)

I can't think of any more M names ... can you?
