I broke an egg the day I was taking them out of the turner a couple of weeks ago, I felt horrible about it. I put on scotch tape and it was the last to hatch but she made it and is doing great. Her name is ScotchTape.

I put Nog, Spice, Elf, and white egg chick in the brooder. Instant doggie gratification. Scooter is absolutely enchanted with the babies. I have 4 more pips in the incubator, I had to take these guys out as they were soccerballing the other eggs!

I looked again and BOTH babies look like they are from the naked neck Silkie hen (tan eggs, not white)! One is a naked neck and one isn't. The non-naked neck has a poofy head and is dark grey with a yellow cap and yellow wing tips...too cute. Once the mini-hatch is done I'll get pics

I finally managed to get a photo that isn't blurry. The chicks kept hopping, or turning away from the flash. The light chicks are Salmon Faverolles, and the darker chicks are Brabanters.

How long does it take to dry out? Miracle is still wet and he's been out since 6am... Another pip... that makes 6 pips and 2 of the 6 are actively trying to zip! yay...

ADORABLE babies everyone!!! Ice storm here soon, hoping that doesnt mess us up!

she's super sweet...i'm holding her cuddled in a blanket, and using a blowdryer on med heat low blow about 1.5 ft away every once in a while to speed drying... she's content... no chirping incesantly like her half siblings did in oct... i may end up making her some diapers and keeping her inside a lot.. lol... don't know why i'm so attached to this one...

I had 4 to be early and hatched out last night and the finally 3 today but, we have have 6 that when into lockdown today. We seem to be having small eggsplosions, finally

I have some silkie salmon favor. due to go onlock down the 29th

so I will figure out this camera and post pics straight from it.

WOW!!! AS long as the other one took, I came down before doing dessert and one pip was starting to slowly zip... I came down after dessert and DS is going MOM COME DOWN HERE NOW!!! and I walk in to see it roll out of the shell! AMAZINGLY fast! YAY at least miracle has a buddy now! I have a cute pic of him cheering on the newbie as it hatches that I will post later!
