Official Christmas Hatch! c'mon and join

overeazy... I agree! With 8 pips it's hard not to touch them!!! I was going to sit on my hands but decided I'm going to try to nap instead so I can stay up late tonight to watch them! I still have one that pipped at 9pm last night and the ONLY thing it's done today is knock a bit of shell off the pip... do you all think I should let it be or help? The one that pipped the same time last night zipped and has been out for a while now. I also think I may have a definite roo on my hands but I'll post that comparision pic later with all the rest LOL, hoping to sleep and wake up to more babies!
Corny chick I'm hoping there's SOMETHING going on at your house by now! We're nearing our exact 21 day mark!

I'd wait an not touch, although it's hard not to! Mine are a tad early, like day 20, started pipping on the 19th day(yesterday) Woder if the bator ran warmer than it should have. I can at least sigh in relief that I did not cook them to death when the bator went up to 108.. again I wonder how accurate the thermometer was, I bought another for a second opinion, lol. This has been a ton of fun, emotional rollercoaster and all! can't wait to get my cortnix quail eggs in a couple weeks, I also ordered a brinsea! The gal I bought my hatching eggs from want's to see my homeadeabator so I will take it over to her house and show it off, probably let her use it if she can't afford to make one. I'd give it to her but hubby made it for me, I think he'd object lol!

where did you order your brisea from? I think that is what I want for my birthday so there's less to worry about! :) Yeah I am going to leave it be for now, I just worry bc the first one that pipped I had to hel pbc it was shrink wrapped and it also pipped last night with this one. That and we're only 3 hours from it being 24 hours since it pipped and it hasnt really done anything. Tho, when I was taking the shell out quickly from the 2nd hatch (I wasnt too afraid of this bc since theyve started hatching my humidity is staying up no problem) I picked it up and listened and I could hear it actively tapping on the shelly but couldnt see any progress so I'm wondering if it just doesnt have the mobility in there to actually tap through more... oh well...now I really am going to nap :)

Sangel4you, I ordered it from Brinsea.com. I oredered the Oct Eco 20. It is the simpler version without the turning cradle but I want to participate in the hatching so I can live without it! It was 99.00 usd and with shipping it came to $123.00. I have no idea how fast it'll get here but I hope it beats my quail eggs here! Of course, I still have this homemade bator that seems to be doing the job, so..

So guys, my first chick that hatched just had a runny green poop, it's also the one that had issues with it umbilicus sticking when first born...what does this mean? It was also the first poop- is it usually like that?

Ok, I touched..and glad I did so do not listen to me or do what I say! Because you are not supposed to even open the bator during hatching! But this egg where he pipped the wrong end, he wasn't zipping as he had no manuvering room. So I helped by lifting the top off for him. He's still sitting in the round end but his head is out, and he's peeping at me and oh so very tired.. I left him right there..and now he's finishing coming out. My first hatch on my own..sigh. And I was terrible moody over it as well. Is it like this for all first timers?
