I have 7 healthy chicks . 2 eggs still haven"t piped. day 21. maybe they are runnung late. I hope they are ok.

I just opened my incubator and got a scare from a little mixed Polish that I had no idea was hatching today. My new little Christmas gift is doing fine

Well mine are all in the brooder. I have 2 that I am not sure are going to make it. I lost 1 already, it was one of the one's I had to help out. I am not going to let this get me down too much. I have 15 healthy chicks running around and to only lose 2-3 that may not have made it out anyway is acceptable to me.

Congrats to everyone who has successful hatches. We need more pictures of everyones new babies!

well they are VERY true to 21 days at my house..9:30pm on 3 weeks ago is when I put them in, at 9:30 tonight, all but 1 of the 15 have pipped and there are two out, four that are zipping and all the rest have pipped in the last few hours. Even if that one never pips, I'll be happy for my first hatch!
Corny, hang in there, it's still early esp if your temps were below 100. And things looked good when u put them on lockdown right?

I dont have starter nor did I dig out the brooder yet... I guess I'll need to do that by tmrw evening! I'm still afraid the power is going to go out here...it's windy and icey...out in my valley thats never a good thing!

I made a second attempt at a photo of our new Christmas chicks. I couldn't keep more than two on the table at a time without worrying they'd jump off. DH thought one of the pictures would make a neat Christmas card. This is a Salmon Faverolles and a Brabanter.

LOL it IS Friday! Wait...I think?! Lol Our feed store is usually open on sat so I'm hoping they will be tmrw. But DH and I already discussed if they're not, its prob not the best choice but I can mash up some layer for them for a day until Monday when I can get some starter. Brooder is in the shed and take two mins to get ready... I was just going to let it get warmer before I take them out tmrw evening.
My first one hatched this morning at 6, the next one not until 4 this evening...and there are others on their way but not here yet. Is that first one going to be ok unti ltmrw eve if I give the rest of them another 25 hours to get out?

I have two more that were to hatch today too but no pips, do you think they will hatch when should I check on them?
