I would SOOO buy a shirt ....or 2 maybe in different colors! I have 6 out of 9 duck eggs waiting to hatch tomorrow that were nearly crushed in a cat-knocking-bator-off-the-table-accident. Wish me luck! And, we are officially converting our pool house into a new coop during the next few weeks - hubbys idea! That will make three coops and one tractor for me, more ROOM!!!!! Nothing can stop me now......

one with 40 eggs lockdown coming on Sat. I have 7 turkey eggs that will be a week on Fri adding black and blue copper marans so they wouldn't get lonely. Silky eggs coming Monday they are late so I might get some more meat bird cross to add to those. Oh that's right had to get another incubator because the turkey eggs just came without warning.....I told my DH that there was no way I'd have more than half hatch being as they are all shipped eggs......I started with 51 only 11 haven't made it I wonder how many will really hatch? Help I am really having too much fun I promised myself that after this bunch no more until I have eggs from my hens..do you think I can do that? I need a T-shirt

The day I dreaded has finally arrived.
My husband counted the shipping boxes stashed in the garage. There were more than he remebered. Alarminly more, apparently.

I have to follow some new Procedures, that mainly involve selling almost as many as I hatch.

I'm setting a new procedure on better box stashing....

Hi, My name is Bill and I am a Hatch-a-holic.

My addiction started simply enough just wanting a few hens for my breakfast eggs each morning. I bought 20 bA chicks and raised them to laying age. Then I decided I wanted a few more eggs to give to the kids, mom, the neigbors, and close friends, so i bought and incubator to hatch some of my own eggs. I put 19 eggs in the bator and hatched 18 chicks. Then i decided i wanted some dark egg layers so I bought some Welsummer and Cuckoomaran chicks. When these started laying, I just had to hatch some of their eggs. I built a cabinet incubator that would hold 292 eggs. Then i got the Buckeye fever so i drove down to Ala and picked up 44 eggs. Then went back and picked up 24 more. I soon needed more incubator space so i built another incubator that would hold 144 eggs. Now I go around looking for eggs to hatch. I have over 200 eggs due to hatch next week and another 20 due the week after. I just removed 70 mixed chicks from one bator this last weekend and have more eggs coming this week. I need help, PLEASE SEND MORE EGGS!!!!

Lotsapaints............. That is the truth................ I'm in the same boat!

My parents are going insane luckly I sold off my three previouse hatches two weeks ago so I have some more wiggle room for these guys. The Brinsea and Hova are rotating and its crazyness! I don't know what will happen if 100% of the next two batches go to lockdown!

PLEASE HELP ME!
