ok i think i may be curred of incubation and hatching eggs for a very very very long time.... why you may ask.... how you may ask.... my story begins with a text from a friend at 6 in the morning. Text read, "I just found out I'm prego... (she is 52)... I have 2 dozen Easter eggs that need hatching out... Help!!! I will be to busy... do you want them, please.." I said ummmm OK... I will pick them up at 9 tonight...." OMG!!!! Happy Dance, Crazy Laughter... set incubator up.. check n recheck temp.. Check H2O... Check egg turner.. Good to go... Got Eggggggs!!!!! Day 10 candled eggs * 12 Duds... day 19 Checked eggs before lock down, 2 duds.. LOCK DOWN!!! Day 21 nothing, ok day 22 at 3 a.m. hatching.. Woooow Hoooo!!! checked on them 4 yrs later doing good only 3 hatched, quickly removed them and put them in there dry box with food n H20.. waiting ... waiting... waiting day 23 checked on the eggs left no movement... took my stethoscope n listened to each egg. Opened up one, DEAD, fully formed but dead.. so it went for 4 more. so went to open up the last one...Drum Roll.... I picked it up and it EXPLODED!!!!!!! All over me the incubator every where. I stink, my house stinks, my incubator stinks... WHAT THE H#^&**%$&!!!!!! So i think i may be done with hatching chicks for a good 4 or 5 months... **** OMG!! Haa haa Im joining up too!!!! Only thing that limits me is the money to buy hatching eggs!!! The foxes keep down my number of adults so I have to keep hatching to replace them!!!! And the three adults I have now lay where I cant find their eggs!!! They have gotten smart!!!! So I now have pheasant eggs in the bator from a friend!!!! And Hubby is no help I told him I should take a few to a swap today and he said I couldnt take the babies cause they are so cute cause they look like lil' skunks!!! He's not an enabler at all!!!!
