Official Seed Exchange/swap Thread ***SIGN UP CLOSED***

My instructions / comments are all typed, seeds counted, now just to get organized enough to put it all together and mail it.

Attention Swappers! Mother Nature has decided to to show her wonderful strength and power, and this, is or may be affecting fellow swappers. As I get information, I will pass it along, but want to keep everyone updated that her pr timing may affect the swap.

I am sure I speak for everyone when I say that priorities should be with keeping families and homes safe and secure in what could be the largest weather phenomena of our life time.

Be safe everyone and best wishes that you are all safe.

Seeds are packaged, just need to get growing info written up.

Thanks for putting this together Czech's_chicks!

Are wildflowers OK, or just domestic flowers and veggies? I found a boatload of seedstalks of a very pretty wildflower in my woods today.

I think this would be a good idea. That's how we would do it when I would participate in quilt block swaps on another board. You can even put your real name, too, or just keep it a mystery, lol.

You may send in whatever you would like. I LOVE wildflowers.

I just googled my wildflower and my state's DNR lists it as a potential invasive species.

I suppose I shouldn't pass it around, huh?

Now I am curious....can you pm me the information??

I would send the wildflower seeds even if it is invasive in your area.

Just include that information on your seeds and let the people who get them check and see if they are invasive in their area.

We have one that my mom loves, Sho-Fly, that she kept the seeds from her friends house and babied the plant. We asked for years if anyone knew what the flower was with no luck. Turns out it is invasive in commercial tomato fields in Ohio and on their list. They do "spread like wildflowers" but are easy for a home gardener to dig up and have pretty flowers.

Going to plant some more around the chickens and see if they really are Shoo flies.
