Oh Boys! Am I Right?

It's great to be able to talk chickens or poultry in general without the weird looks you sometimes receive in person!😂
Forever grateful for the amazing people here on BYC❤️
I get weird looks when I say I love my chicks in public.
I also tried explaining to someone that I was attempting to teach my dog not to eat chickens. They gave me an odd look and said, "Just don't feed it to them"
I then had to explain I was raising chickens, they still looked at me oddly, lol.

Your dog eats your chickens?

Well if she ever does, pm me. I can help. I just chicken-proofed my granddaughter's 7 mo old Australian shepherd pup. He hadn't killed any, but about three months ago he did get hold of one and was pulling tail feathers out of her when we caught him. We've kept the chickens in their very large run since then, as we've had cold and rain until now and yesterday was the first decent day we had to execute my method. I've never known it to fail, and I've used it on some confirmed chicken killers of neighbors and clients over the years.
