You see, Easter Eggers are not a true breed. They're a mixed breed. Some people call them mutts. They won't breed true. In other words, if you breed two EE together you have no idea what the offspring may look like. But they're still delightful birds that lay colored eggs. Now don't misunderstand. Each bird will lay its own color egg, but they often lay a blue, greenish or sometimes even pinkish egg. You just never know. And that's what makes them so fun!
