Oh Dear

You see, Easter Eggers are not a true breed. They're a mixed breed. Some people call them mutts. They won't breed true. In other words, if you breed two EE together you have no idea what the offspring may look like. But they're still delightful birds that lay colored eggs. Now don't misunderstand. Each bird will lay its own color egg, but they often lay a blue, greenish or sometimes even pinkish egg. You just never know. And that's what makes them so fun!

Oh no not at all!! I’ve been wrong guessing breeds too! So many breeds looks so similar! I think as more time goes but I’ll have a better idea

Someone abandoned a duck near my house and I thought he was a girl at first! 🤣 the hair threw me off haha he fit right in though! He’s like a rooster with none of the negative sides.

It's cute. If it's male you need to keep him separate from your female chickens though. And ducks need water deep enough to dunk their bills into, deep enough to cover their nares (nostrils) when they eat. And that is all I know about ducks. Except they are the cutest things, like water and are dead messy, lol!

He is VERY messy! Yeah he’s been here a few years now! He’s only interested in one of my chickens, but we keep him away from her. He’s been the life of the backyard haha, he’s such a busybody.

Oh I thought he was a recent addition. Yeah, don't let him mate her, he could kill her. But you probably know that.
