I'm so excited I just went out to give the babes a treat and there it was our 1st EGG!!!!

I wish I knew which girl laid it so I could give her a big hug. It's a small light brown egg... but an egg! And she even went back in the hen house to lay it!!! Way to go girls... keep'em comin!! Momma's proud of you!!!!!!!!

I remember our first eggs. We got 3 on the same day!!! My DH and I had them in an egg carton and we just kept on going into the fridge to LOOK at them! They were the size of walnuts, but we never had eggs that tasted so good!!! Congrats with many more to come!!!

She laid another egg just a few minutes ago and I caught her in the act!!!!! It's a Light Brahma that is doing it. I can't believe it! I thought Brahmas were late bloomers. Evidently mine aren't!! She looked so cute in her laying box. Funny thing it seems that since we gave away the 7 roo's that the very next day my girls get busy laying!! Guess that's a sign they are feeling more at ease!
