Yes I'm yelling!! We heard some bob whites calling this evening!!!!

We were outside finishing up the chicken's new stadium roosts, and heard the wonderful sound several times! I hope it's a bunch of them around! We've left one field with tall grass (think uncut hay field) with hopes the wild rabbits we keep seeing would nest there. They have been, and now it seems the quail are going to join them!

We just moved to this farm last year, and it wasn't been used as a farm then. I just LOVE living in the country again!

I have been hearing bobwhites almost about every afternoon and evening as well! Isn't it just an awesome sound! I had 12 Butler bobwhite get out 2 years ago....but never saw them again. I hope that it is some of them still surviving and hopefully breeding!

I've never heard a wild bobwhite call and haven't seen a wild one since i was around 5 years old (a hen with chicks). So I'm glad you're excited to hear those beauties calling!
