I was giving the bedtime peas tonight (which was corn) and I accidentally stepped on one of my Pekins feet😱, she didn’t say anything and it was I 6” of fresh pine bedding and she ran for the peas as soon as I moved. I am hoping I just hindered her. For those following my adventures my 2 female Pekins have been plagued with foot and leg troubles, so I am quite sensitive to their well-being.

I’ve been worried about this, they all come rushing around me when I put them away, I try to be careful but there’s 16 little flappy feet and it’s tough to maneuver when your 6’2 in a 5’ room

I‘m sure that she’ll be fine ❤️ I think that a Pekin hen would certainly let the world know if she was seriously hurt! I do understand why you would be worried though!

I got mine once when they were really little, was walking away from them and one managed to run over my foot and get ahead of me, so my next step came down on her foot. Luckily for me she squealed at me and I dont think I got my whole weight down before she moved, she wound up being fine. Taught me to remember to shuffle/scoot my feet instead of pick them up when I had them out of their box 😬

Me too, I can barely walk! But mine always squeek when hurt so hopefully yours is ok! ❤️
