OH my gosh look at this chicken! it is the weirdest thing ever!

This seems to be a breed of chicken! Does anyone know the breeds name? Or better yet do any of you own some of these chickens.

Look up on BYC "Inbar the naked chicken" - There's actually a user here who has a hen and has been around other specimens of this "breed." It was developed in Israel I believe.

Thankfully it is not available in the USA

WOW!!! i have never in my life seen such a ugly thing... but oddly i think it would be cool to have. I can imagine the questions people would be asking me about it. they would probably say i was mean because they would think i plucked their feathers live!

think about all the kids you could scare with that at halloween. I wish there was a hairless goose then i could train it to be a guard then at halloween let it loose and the hairless goose would chase the kids out of my yard. haha can anyone picture a hairless goose?

Wouldn't they get cold and hot and dirty and pecked at and...it just doesn't seem very practical not to have feathers.
However: cool-looking chicken.

Israel developed them to avoid the costs related to de-feathering meat birds at processing.

Poor things look sunburnt.
