Oh my stinking sister

I absolutely had to share this because it is so ridiculous it's funny. We got chickens early this year. My sister was all gung-ho she even purchased 2 of our 8 pullets... which was like $10. Anyway they are laying now and things are really good. Oh and that $10 is all she has contributed to this adventure but that's not my point. I put a new coop donation can on my kitchen counter because I think my coop is to small for my spoiled rotten girls. I put all my change in it and any money from selling eggs. So about a month ago I helped my sister get a promotion within the company we work for because it was offered to me and I declined. So jokingly I said to her she should make a fat donation to my chicken coop fund when she get her bonus. And she tells me that she wants nothing to do with those chickens and eating the eggs is going to kill us because they are not pasturized(sp). Omg! She buys store brand egg. If she only knew how ignorant she sounded.

Apparently you can but there are only like 3 companies in the us that do it and the only pasturized eggs at our supermarket is a liquid egg product. So now I leave her literature on raising chickens and the benefits of fresh eggs. And I have half a mind to sneak my white leghorns eggs into her egg carton. They are essential the same eggs but my chicken live a much better life than the one her eggs came from. I'll record her reaction and YouTube it.
