Here is a picture of one of my shipped Dorking eggs candled tonight on day 7. I let them sit for 28 hrs, fat side up before going in the incubator and did not start turning for 3 days.Of 17, this is the only one like this. (5 were clear, 2 blood rings and 9 others developing)
Does anyone know what the outcome might be? Is there anything I can do? The embyo was moving upon candling.

Even though the air cell is placed in an unusual location, it looks like it is fixed and that development is good. I'd continue to incubate as if the air cell was normal.

Thank you...I left it in...and yes, the air cell does not move. It is not saddled like my turkey and pheasant eggs are. It is completely normal looking.. but on the side! They are all fat side up in the turner and just this one looks like this. Have you ever had one like this, Walnut Hill?

That's great! I will be interested to see how it goes! :)

I have one the same exact way as this one. I'm going into day 7 in the morning. I will let you know my outcome even though you seem a day ahead of me.

Thank you, I will look forward to seeing how yours goes. :) My temps have been a little low, so we may be hatching on the same days, either way :)

My side air cell was the first to pip. I couldn't understand why the pip was so close to the fat end. There was very little air cell volume and he externally pipped very early, within an hour or two of the first faint peeps inside the incubator.

He has popped off some shell but is not ready to hatch.
