Oh, no! I did it again!

Let me know 24 days in advance, Nancy, and I'll set an orp hatch to coincide with your arrival. LOL

Truthfully, I NEVER know 24 days in advance if I am going anywhere because life is so nuts around here!!! Very seldom does anything I plan go off on schedule! LOL. I am so disorganized. I need to have some of you rub off on me!!!

BTW, do you want a curly or smooth breast and do you PREFER male or female? I had them vent sexed but the guy is not 100% accurate. LOL. I only have white.

I will not bring you "Dumb A**" the goose who cannot find its way into the pen. He is the dumbest goose I've ever met. He can stand one foot away from an open gate and keep walking right into the chain link. He likes to stand alone in the middle of the paddock and just honk to the wind. He IS entertaining though!!!

I'll try to give you notice, but what I will probably do is find out if you'll be there when I finally THINK I want to come. If you aren't around or it's inconvenient, then I'll pick a different weekend. LOL. I'm going to Falls Church (7 Corners), the National Memorial Park in Falls Church and Woodbridge. I mostly want to be sure we're out of the cold weather before I come. Gonna be a hot one this weekend!! Sorry to hijack yet again. I am so bad about that!!

LOL, I KNOW about the incubator addiction!!! Last year I had one incubator, then had to get another one as a hatcher, now bought yet another this week....I would have been better off going with a cabinet incubator....ah well, eventually.

How many lavendars did you hatch out? Im trying to get some Orp Lav eggs right now and would love to work with the variety. Are you going to cross them back on bbs orps or is that not the way to go? I know nothing about genetics but i look forward to learning. Im sending you great hatching vibes, mine work wonders for people

I have a smooth breasted male. May I please have a curly breasted female? He needs a wife so badly. Of the one grey sebbie I hatched won't be old enough to be in his pen until late summer or early fall. Soon I have to take him out of the pen he is sharing with my other breed.

Thank you so much!

Give me a heads up if you can so I can hatch you a few babies in exchange.

No, they will not be crossed with the bbs orps.

I have 2 sets of project lavs. They hatch 50% lav 50% black but those blacks may or may not have the lav gene.

They will be bred back - the best male to the best females. A lav cockeral to split black and lav pullets.

Watch eggbid. Jody and Charlie often list an auction for their lav eggs.

Thanks for the info, so basicaly you will select for type and colour and cull the rest? Where can I get detailed info on Orp conformation (sp?)? Im guessing you have to mark and hatch the eggs out of the blacks to know if they carry the gene or not. Is that a 50/50 chance or is there more to it?

No trades.....straight gift. No strings.
Curly female.....sounds great. Now I'll start looking to see when I think I could find a date to aim for coming. LOL.
