When I was placing the eggs in the bator after taking out the turner, one slipped out of my hand as I was lowering it into the bator. It doesnt appear to have cracked. I candled it really quickly and I couldnt see anything (they are brown eggs) except a very large dark shadow. I didnt see any movement. This is my first hatch...so I am really nervous.

Also, I have the Genesis bator, and I added water to the trough it recommended in the instructions when I set it up. Is that enough for the humidity? Im so nervous...

I dropped one of my little bantam orpington eggs on day 18 also and the egg cracked all the way around. I just knew that I had killed that chick but 2 days later the egg hatched and the chick is as healthy as she can be. So if I was you I wouldn't throw it away because you could still have a chance of it hatching.
