OH NO :( I think I killed my chicks

I just had 7 hatch last Friday/Sat. On day 15/16 had a temp drop to 88 overnight. Thought maybe that would delay my hatch or hurt a few of them but all 7 of my eggs hatched and on time too.

I think you will be fine......keeping my fingers crossed for you

i wouldn't worry about it too much either. I had the power go out during the middle of the night and when I woke up the temp was 76 degrees and the humidity really low. The chicks hatched out fine. Hang in there and don't mess with them too much. Should be fine.

I've had both temp spikes and temp drops and had eggs hatch. Then I've had everything go perfectly and had an awful hatch so if I were you I'd relax and wait. You never know what will happen!

Jess- The avatar photo is our Kune Kune gilt Hazel when she was a piglet. Keep busy, its the best advice I can give. Look, there's something to do now: Google Kune Kune Pigs. That should waste a little bit of time cruising the photos. Or visit our website, it has lots of good links on Kunes.

How long were the eggs at that temp? If only a few hours, they may be ok.. The internal temp of the egg may not have reached that high.

I fell asleep about 3am waiting to adjust it and woke up about 9 I think.

I don't hear anything yet, so I don't know. I have time though, but darn it I needed these chicks for my flock.
