Went out to check on the flock and do my head count for the night. Everyone was there like they should be. Thi is the time I check for mites, and injuries. I also give everyone some scritches and talk to them. Well I came to what I suspect is a little cockeral. He has been showing all the signs saddle feathers that are long and flowing, getting long tail feathers and just generally being cocky. I reached up to check him and he attacked. Pecking then trying to scrape me with his feet. I jerked his little rear up and turned him upside down then put him in a football hold under my arm. This is the chance to look for spurs. Yep he has teeny tiny spurs. So he has until he's big enough for freezer camp. He may be pretty but I won't have an aggressive bird. I then I checked the birds he came with out of the five I think 4 are cockerals. Grr and they are all nice looking birds. Will get some pics of the little terror tomorrow.
