Ouch.... not good. Poor pretty kitty, I'm not sure there's much you can do other than the glucosamine to try to protect her joints. Is there any way to wrap her "knees" to support them? Silly idea, given a cat's anatomy and fur, but thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone has ever seen it done. (I was a vet tech for 5 yr back in the stone ages, and I don't recall seeing a double luxation on a cat ever) Good luck, and just keep petting her.

My lab has the problem he is getting up there in age and the dr said to leave him be he sleeps on a bed I made him it has a heating blanket on the inside set at low. The steroids do help him. he is a inside dog and is outside for a cpl hours a day. We try not to excite him where he tries to run alot and hot baths for him he gets a bath every week just to soak. you might want to ask your vet about a payment plan our vet has one but we live in the sticks I do computer work in trade for my labs meds.

Prednisone isn't fun. My cat has the feline version of IBD, so he's been on it (plus special diet) for about 10 yr. The good news is, he's 15 now, and he's also an extremely long Siamese, so he can carry his 13lbs gracefully (he's actually not fat!)
