Oh no, my first attack!! She is still alive. I hope I treated her correctly.

I went outside to put the chickens up and noticed my little Shih tzu wasn't running around the pen like she has been doing. When I got down my stairs enough to see her, I could see what looked like a chicken body. Of course, I got her off the poor chicken and the chicken is still alive and able to walk. I guess she flew over the fence. I think she is my feisty leghorn who has been in charge. She was one of the first to try to get out of the brooder. I guess I am going to have to put bird netting on top of the run. Back to the chicken, I put her in the coop from the back, but then I noticed one of her sisters pecking on her already so I decided to bring her inside. I put her in one of the dog crates with puppy pads down and water and food. I also covered up the crate. I don't see any blood and like I said, I saw her walk. She is dirty, but I hate to bother her any more than I have to right now. She is just sitting quietly. It was funny though because the other birds were not happy she was gone. The were crying loudly. They did finally settle down. I think Lovey (my dog) had cornered her and was trying to play with her like she does her toys. I am hoping that when the hens are full grown, they will put my two little dogs in their place. They should be about the same size by then.
Does it sound like I did the right thing for my poor chicken?

Well, you did what I have done with chickens who were attacked, but seemed physically unharmed. They were in emotional shock and seemed to benefit from some peace and quiet. After an overnight stay at my "bed and breakfast", they would be back to acting normal and I would return them to the flock. :cd

She was up and around this morning. She is still isolating herself in the coop, but she seems ok. I saw her try to fly into the coop and she couldn't do that. That was first thing this morning. I'm not sure now. Thanks for the help.

Maybe she sprained some muscles or has painful bruising and that's why she couldn't fly well and doesn't want to leave the coop. In that case, she is restricting her movements to heal. Just keep an eye on her.

One of my Silkies was so traumatized by a hawk attack, she stayed in the coop for days and refused to leave the run for over a month when we let the others out for free ranging.
