I didn’t know about the saliva. We never found any open slashed wounds, but I had wondered about punctures. She just declined so fast. It was hard losing Bean but having the buttons has helped my son (he talks to the birds when he’s having a rough time).

I don't believe that cat saliva is toxic, however, cat bites can be quite pernicious due to the bacteria that gets deposited with a deep puncture. This may cause either infection or disease.
