I just discovered as I was moving my first batch of eggs to the hatcher, that my auto-turner is not working!!! I have a hova 1588 with the auto turner, and have been watching the temp and humidity like a hawk, but found today (DAY 18!!!! ) that the turner is not hooked up properly. It appears that a small piece of plastic that attaches to the metal part has broken off. I don't know how long it's been like this, but I assume ever since I set the eggs.

I have another batch of eggs that are on day 11.

PLEASE (please) tell me they will be OK.

I think I've got it hooked up now. Will know in the morning. (I am NOT staying up tonight to watch my eggs turn.) I am just SICK at the thought that both hatches (Marans and Ameraucanas) could be ruined from this.

    Uggghhh.

I seem to remember some one posting that they let eggs set unturned the whole time to see how critical it was and they had a descent result. Nothing to do but wait and see.
