what does sented do?

it has chemicals/oils that you dont really want to seep through and get in the egg...

well they are only 6 days old so i cant tell if there is movement or not.

Usually on day seven you can see movement in the eggs when you candle. I would check and if you see movement just leave it be for another seven days and check again. I would put the wax on now though Or do it when you candle on the seventh day. Good luck!

Be careful with the wax. If it's too hot when you apply it, it could injure the chick.

I use masking tape to seal cracked eggs, and haven't had a problem with it... the chicks hatched right on time.

An egg only explodes when whatever is inside it starts to rot. Happens with chicks that die in the shell, and with eggs that weren't fertile to begin with. The crack doesn't have anything to do with it, except that it allows a rotting egg to explode sooner.

It seems like I remember someone saying melted crayon works good. As for exploding, just candle regularly and you should be fine. You will smell it before it gets bad enough to explode. Good luck.

Hey I had one that stuck to the tray in incubator--had a tiny spot of shell to come off but inside was still intack--I put two tiny pieces of scotch tape across it and it held-----Good Luck:cd
