Vicious little creatures with mouths full of sharp teeth.

Over here we call them weasels, they come in three flavors. None of which you want near your birds.

Google weasel box for an effective trap, remember to obey all local laws.

well im going to see them again tommorow and if any are dead im going to call a game keeper,we have stoats and weasels here or maby people call them 2 different names either way it looked quite young it was small, theres 3 hens im not worried about because they are really flighty and now how to escape they are really smart and the others arnt as good with predetors as id like them to be!

We have fishercats. They are also very vicious and have lots of sharp teeth and claws. They make a horrid call when they make a kill, sounds like I'd imagine a banshee would sound.
They look like black weasels, and are very elusive. I have only seen dead ones on the road and stuffed ones. Your stoats remind me of the fishercats around the New England area, only not black.
We have had a few attacks the last few nights, and caught a racoon on camera. I think it may be the racoon, but I wouldn't be surprised to find fishercats and fox also involved...
