My Coturnix Eggs are overdue.

I was hoping to hear or see something today.

Anxiously awaiting the first pips.....

Morning of December 2nd.

Should be happening, but I think the power failure a couple days ago might have delayed things...

Float test confirmed viability. 10% above surface of water and Rockin' 'N' Rollin'!!

Be patient! Heres some babies to look at while you wait, hatched while I was at work and waiting for the rest!

Heres a button that Hatched today too. sofar 2 out of 9 hatched! waiting for the rest.

Looks like I might have a good batch of ranges!

i set Button eggs Dec 2 ( 8 a.m)as well. They started hatching yesterday morning at about 7 and went till 12:30 this morning. Out of 25 eggs so far only 9 hatched....

Coturnix, if you set them on the 2nd, they are just now due.

17-18 days for Coturnix.

Sounds like they are on schedule, you are just wanting them to be little speed demons.
Don't you worry, they'll start racing around soon enough.

The cool part is, the eggs are moving in the 'Bator. Active little suckers....

Of course it's all up to mother nature as to when and how many actually hatch....

well I got 6 out of 11 for yesterdays hatch (eggs still in bator just in case)
tomorrow another 25 coturnix are to hatch.

2 buttons out of 5

but still in bator as well and another 4 to hatch tomorrow.

Brooder is set-up.

I double checked the date that I set them. Turns out it was the 4th not the 2nd.

Oh well, they can take their time!

So, only another day or two maybe.....

If the eggs are moving in the bator, keep a watch cause they are unzipping. Can take hours and hours though. Make some popcorn.
