Float tested again today. Still rock n rollin'!

I just leave them alone now. I'll watch thru the giant window in the top.... (GQF Hova-bator 1582)

My 'Bator got unplugged at some point in the night!

I think the cat was playing with the cord.

The temp was down to 82 when I got to it.

Candled, plus float tested, everybody seems to have pulled through. The Quail eggs haven't died, they still rock and roll, the Chicken embryos were a little slow, but now that everything is warm again, they are moving fine.

Hopefully the hatch will only be delayed.

The plugs are now duct taped to the receptacle, so I can avoid any further issues.

I always cheep to the chicken chics, but the Coturnix, I call like a male. That's stirs them up, they think their daddy is calling them out.
I haven't tried, bringing a male inside when hatching, maybe I will sometime and see what happens. Probably calm them down, like it does when I take them out to the outside brooder.

My Quail are inside right now due to weather. The first time I float tested the eggs, I noticed the egg moved a bit more when the Roo Crowed, so maybe that's true?

Still waiting....

Can a hatch be delayed by weird Incubator issues?

I would stop float testing and interrupting development. Leave the eggs alone andd wait..

A hatch can be delayed by you taking them out each time.
