Oh what do I do?

Well I ordered some eggs a little over a month ago from a seller here on BYC who had very positive feedback. Well I still have not got the eggs and my PayPal buyer protection runs out on Sunday.

Should I just file to cancel the payment now?

They kept saying they would send but never got to it and for the last 2 and 1/2 weeks they haven't responded to me at all here on byc or through PayPal dispute despite them logging in here a few times.

I just don't know. I really was hoping for that breed for a long time but it's not looking like I'll ever get it and I just payed 70$ for nothing.

I don't want to let my buyer protection run out because then I may never get my money back or get eggs.


I really never expected this from this person. They had such good things said about them by others. I don't know why they never sent my eggs. :cry: :(

I wasn't sure where else to ask, but does anyone else have any ideas?
 
That's sad that you're having a bad experience with this seller. Have you emailed the seller and demanded to either know when they will ship or you will cancel your PayPal payment?? If this transaction does 'go south' I would recommend contacting the moderators to let them know of your dilemma....good luck to you!

Yes. I just sent one final "I need a tracking number by tomorrow or I will cancel the payment." I don't know what's up with them. They were all good then disappeared off the face of the earth and haven't so much as posted in a thread in weeks.

I'm going to send the message via Paypal as well to make sure they see it. Its the darnest thing, I'd never have expected this to happen with a person who had traded so much. Just, weird. At one point they didn't log in for like 6 days. Idk what's up with them.
 
Maybe they are dealing with sudden health problems, a death in the family, accident or some other major thing. I would suggest if you don't hear anything that you just cancel the payment and move on.

that's what I have Been wondering. Although they have had plenty of time to log in and say hey "emergency I'll get back to you in a week or so" they still need to let me know something so I know its not a total scam. I've been telling them for 3 weeks the deadline was nearing to give advanced notice.

Agreed. Whether or not they have health problems/just took the money and run, you should still get your money back. IF they did have some kind of emergency, you could always possibly get them again if you got some kind of guarantee or something.

Though yes, its beyond irresponsible as a seller to let it go this long without so much as a even a brief message.
 
I believe I would cancel the payment and move onto someone else that has what you want. I know most of my buyers of my eggs pay ahead of time, but I have them all written down and when their day comes for shipment to go out, they go out. I had a lady pay 1 month ahead on eggs, and hers is going out in 2 weeks, but it all depends on who you are dealing with for sellers. Personally I keep all of my buyers updated all of the time, I also expect for the buyers to contact me when they receive their shipment and, I enjoy hearing about their hatching as well.
 
Was able to get ahold of seller. Had a farm emergency of some type. They did provide me a valid tracking number and the package is on its way! Yay!!!

They also said they would send me another batch free after these hatch since I had to wait so long.

So long as I get a box full of hatching eggs in a few days I'll be a very happy camper! :D Peeps peeps peeps! My extra special peeps! I can't wait to hatch them!
