We have two hens that used to lay pretty well (about 3 eggs every 4 days). They are about a year old. Two things have changed. 1. We've added 5 new chicks to their coop, 3 hens and 2 roosters. 2. We've combined the chick food with the regular food plus the cracked corn. There wasn't any viable way to feed the chickens seperately.

Now we haven't gotten a single egg in two weeks! Any thoughts?

thanks

Possibly they are choosing to eat more of the cracked corn if it is free choice and they are eating less of their regular food which is higher in protein. With lowered protein they are laying less. May also be a disruption in their usual routine due to the new chicks. Maybe a combination of both.
