So, we were having supper, my Dh and I. We were going to get to spend time together as it is just me and him tonight here which never happens. I was looking forward to it. So a conversation comes up about some missing eggs that I think may be a scam seller from eggbid, and he asks me what kind of eggs they are. Uh oh. So I knew he didnt like turkeys, but he let me try to hatch some last year (none of the 4 hatched). So I only ordered 4 eggs, and I dont even want to keep them, just raise them to eat them. There will be no new pen to make. I pay for ALL the food for both the animals AND the household. So how the heck will my 1-2 turkey bother HIM? He got all mad, and now he doesn't want to talk to me. <sigh> Men!

Hate it when that happens!

My dh was a bit upset with me about ordering duckings as were were offered a pair of adult muscovy, well first of all at the time we were not prepared but secondly we has spca/the city up out butts because os fake compliants the neighbors made!

Nice. I'm dealing with the same exact thing with my dh. I am the kid/animal caretaker. (if there's a real difference between animals and children, someone, please tell me!!!). I pay for the feed, meds, etc for the animals. I am also the one that puts in the time and personal care of these animals. But if if I mention anything pertaining to the birds, I get an eye roll or an "umph." And he wonders why I don't talk to him!

I just hate it, because we dont usually fight, but, sometimes it seems as if he could care less about things that are important to me. But, even as I type that I know it's not all the way true. Like the other day I mentioned a great deal Lowes had on raspberries....clearance.. 50% off....$5 instead of $10. I bought six and mentioned I wished I had more money and yesterday he came home with 5 more of them.... It's just ugggh......sometimes it seems it's his way no matter what, if he says no I'm just supposed to be oh, okay honey whatever you say........ get's frustrating!

I think it's a universal problem. Mine is the same way.
If it's not HIS idea or something HE wants then it ain't gonna happen..... or so I let him think.
