OHHH I'm so mad right now..

An electric fence if installed properly will present no danger to children. I use electrified fencing and none of the kids in the neighborhood touch it. The ones that do, don't touch it again.

Sorry for your troubles. Good luck.

I just talked to my mom about getting a paintball gun. One thing we're
worried about, is if we complain to the city about his dogs, he'll turn
around and complain about our rooster's crowing. I don't think he's the type
of guy to do that, but I don't know about him..

I'm sure he couldn't do anything about a crowing rooster, unless there is a law banning them in your city. And your rooster, I assume, is not going on his property and crowing, LOL! It is his responsibility, however, to contain his dogs. You're on your own property, minding your own business, and his dogs are invading your space. Good luck!!

Once the dogs kill your chickens are you going to wish you said something? If you shoot the dogs, don't you think he'll complain about the rooster anyway? He doesn't sound like he has a concern for your inconvenience or feelings. Besides, as cool as roosters are, you don't need a rooster to have chickens.

I suppose, but Our neighbors ain't fond of our many roosters to begin with.

It is his responsibility to keep his dogs on his property, and I'm hoping he cares
enough about them to tie them up or somthing until he gets a fence.

Once an animal is killed by a dog there is no bringing it back. I had a chance to take out the dog that killed our cat but was trying to be the nice gal. Do what you need to do so you don't look back and say "what if".

I honastly wouldn't have given him the time..
I would have already called animal control.
Thanks for everyone's posts, I wont hesitate to complain
about his dogs to the city, call animal control, or shoot them if need be.

You have to protect your animals! Shoot them if the owner won't keep them on his own property, I have always given dog owners 3 chances and then I take care of them.

I don't know what state you are in but here in Michigan you cannot contain someone else's dog. I know this for a fact. I got in trouble for it a couple of years ago. My husbands nephews dogs (2 of them) got in with my sheep and done some major damage. We ended up loosing my very expensive ram because of this. My husband caught one of the dogs and the other one got away. His nephew called the law and said we were stealing his dog ( like I wanted his dog. I have plenty of my own ) and the law came here and threatened to arrest me. The offIcer then seen the damage they done to my sheep and he told me next time shoot them then call them. He took the dog and the nephew ended up getting cited for it. So if I was you I would just shoot them and call the law.
