Well my breadmaker finally died after 18 years! So now I'm going to hunt for another one just like it. I got so much use out of that thing! I loved it because it did all the work for me. RIP dear Bread Man!

I can meat using my pressure canner and I know I saw a recipe for canning venison in the book I use.

I can either teach you or if you want to make a deal next hunting season, I could can some of your venison in exchange for some venison to keep. Let me know!

I actually may have a lead on several deer (does) within the next few weeks. My friend is a sniper and was issued a nuisance permit to cull deer in his area. He contacted me a couple days ago and asked if I'd be interested in a couple to butcher up at home. My only issue is, if he brings more than 2 does, this heat will force me to work rather quickly. So...just letting you know that I "may" have venison for you to can sooner than you think.

Did all my Buckeye peeps fall off the face of the earth? Where is everyone...I miss you. In any hoot, hope everyone is doing well and surviving this current heat wave!

I have wondered about everyone also Knobby. It was great seeing you on here. My two Call Ducks I hatched out in my incubator in the spring were both girls so that was a real blessing. I now have 26 ducks, 22 hens and 4 little drakes. It's a good mix and everyone gets along well. I hope all of your flock and other animals are doing well.

Yes, I started back last Thursday. It is hot but it won't be forever so all is good. Thanks Knobby. How many animals do you have right now?
