Ohio National!!

You have to pick the correct class. If you pick the wrong one, it could be disqualified. The top letters are for cock, cockerel, pullet, hen. What are you planning on showing?

Don't know, we haven't gotten a catalog yet.
My daughters showed in 4-h first time this year.
Got a frizzle hen that placed 3rd, a white rock hen placed 4th, an Amareacana roo placed 1st, all under 1 yr.
My daughter also received 1st place in her showmanship/age division. Not bad for just getting chickens a few months before-hand and never being around them before!!!

We thought about taking the frizzle hen.
Don't know bout the roo? He broke a feather off in his wing.
We have some silkies my other daughter wants to try.
We also have some barred cochin standards I would love to show but I have to see who I like best and work with them because they are still a little crazy, LOL!

In any case we,ll still go and watch/look even if we don't show. I'm sure it will be a great learning experience.
Thanks!

Yolanda, where are you staying Im getting ready to book a room? Is one better than the other.
My Coppers just started laying do you know how many eggs it takes to show them?

I think we are coming up Friday to coop in.

Karen,

I'm still undecided on showing there. I haven't booked a room yet.

You don't have an extra blrw bantam male, you want to trade for say a started mottled cochin? I have some young pullets from my mottled hen, and I have 2 blrw pullets, but no male.

First off the term Ohio national is just a name they gave themselves, there may be a few breed clubs that will have national meets there but the show is not a national like the APA nationals in Ventura California. It confuses a lot of people.

Northeastern National? Your too late- the ABA Nationals were in Deleware last year.

No problem, they rotate the ABA and APA nationals around the country so everyone gets a chance to see them. It will be back.

The show in Columbus is a great show with a lot of birds, but they are all good.
