OK, break it to me gently...(PICS)

I am seeing Gold laced wyandott and speckled sussex along with EE's. I don't think they are ALL EE's imo.

did you get them from a bin or order them??

This is what my EE, Josephine looked like at 4 days old:

Josephine's egg far right:

I don't think they are all EE either. The little chipmunk looking ones with a stripe are definetly them but I see a few others that could be something else. Looks like a great variety

Here is my Speckled Sussex, Hazel:

From my understanding...any and all Americana (or the proper spelling

) and/or Aracona chicks sold by hatcheries and feed stores are really EE, because they are such a rare breed to come by, you can only find "true" birds from breeders. Also, since EE's are "mutts", they'll have all sorts of looks/markings/colors/etc... as adults and chicks as well. Enjoy your EE's though! I couldn't get any this year.

Next spring though (or as close to it as I can get a broody), I'll be in the market for some Aracona/Ameraucana (correct spelling?) eggs or maybe a few Black Copper Marans eggs to add a little more color to my egg basket! I ended up getting SLW and BR this year (both brown egg layers).

Weither they are EE's or any of the other various breeds mentioned here, you are sure to enjoy your new chicks! They are all so pretty! And all of the breeds mentioned here are all pretty good egg layers so no matter the colors in your egg basket, your sure to have a bountiful amount of eggs! Congrats on your new chicks!

Thank you everyone for your responses!! I love the photos. We bought them from the bin at TSC labeled as Ameraucana. Some have more pronounced muffs. One is more dark throughout it's coat, compared to the others that have markings. Singular Joter does act differently than the rest. He's a loner, more bold, first to drink or eat. He is more yellow than the others. They are also straight run--so that should be interesting later on.

We are enjoying them immensely!! They are very active, eat, drink, take naps. They appear to have grown overnight!! I am going to try and get more photos, although I'm a little nervous about getting them too stressed--so maybe tomorrow or later today.
