I will update my profile asap.

Im in South Middle Tennessee (Hohenwald)

I have decided instead of 8x8 to go with 8x10 just in case my wifes smaller birds end up getting picked on I would have a little more room to seperate them. Again planning on having 2 outdoor runs. Thanks all

Might as well go 8x12 to maximize lumber usage ;)
Add an extra outer mandoor to access isolation area. :D

Well an update. My coop is 99% done. Just gonna make hurricane shutters to cover the door and windows when it rains. I will make them with corrugated plastic only to block rain from blowing in.

I went with 8x12
The run is 20x50

Rhe Birds are a week old and being brooded in the house. They sent me a few extra buff O chicks so we have 20 total.

Put up a trail camera in the yard and caught a few fox that are bold enough not even to wait for dark. So i decided to use concrete block for a foundation and a hard wood floor so nothing can dig in. All windows and door are done in hardware cloth.

Is this just bracing...or are they roosts.

Intrigued by this bracket system.
Was it easy to do?
Do you have any standard framing experience to know if it's as sturdy?
I guess you don't have to worry much about snow load in TN. :D

Ok my opinion dont buy a wayfair shed kit.

What you see are roosts. I will take some better angle pictures. The building was not sturdy until you put the plywood walls on and stud braces. Now its as solid as a rock. And the roosts made it even sturdier.

I have no experience framing. None ever. I just followed the directions for the shed and took small detours for the chickens when needed.

In my opinion when all said and done i would buy a completed shed next time and hack away to accommodate chickens.

Would save time and probably money as I poured lots into materials.

Anyhow it is what it is and its ready for birds
