Ok, color project strated- self blue with millie, Anyone done this yet

Which colour are you actually wanting? Blue mille fleur, porcelain, or lavender mottled? Lavender mottled would be the easiest.

I've got blue jubilee almost orpingtons, which is a kind of blue mille fleur.

Is Mille Fleur a form of the Spangle?


If so you could get "Pearl"..
I got this out of a OEGB Book...
The name Pearl is given to that color pattern which results when the gene for spangling or mottling ( mo ) alone is added to the lavender ( lav )chicken. This is not the fine white speckling on the gray of the pearl guinea fowl but a coarser but still delicate tipping of each lavender featherwith pure white.....

That's interesting. So basically lavender mottled is called pearl?

I haven't got any recent pictures which do them justice....but I'll get some one of these days. Taking photos is not one of my favourite tasks.
