OK! Does Lucy look like a Leroy?

I think Lucy might be a boy. How old are they? That black one has an awfully big comb also.
Yea, I'm really starting to think it's a boy too... "Her" and the black one keep puffing up and jumping at each other, (Nothing to bad, and usually the black one puts the smack down and the buff one walks away and the start pecking around at the ground again lol) but then they'll snuggle up and sleep together. The black one I'm sure is a boy. Which means I have one hen and 2 Roos...
They're about 3 months old.

If you could get a still picture of the whole chicken I think we could tell better. The video just moves around too much to get a really good look. I still think Lucy might be a boy though. I think I see some saddle feathers just barely starting to poke through there. A still photo would be better to see that for sure though. =)

Good spot! I did not see those saddle feathers when I first viewed the vid and was purely going by the relatively small comb and lack of redness for a 3month old, I'm not familiar with Brahmas but it does appear the roos do have smaller combs when adults, behaviour wise pullets do also chest bump so I wouldn't go by this alone but it does now appear Lucy is a Leroy

Lucy/Leroy was being very cooperative!! Ha ha! I'm thinking because s/he has more red on it's face and more colorful body... It's really starting to look like a Roo... I'm positive the black one is a Roo too.
Which means I might have to get rid of one...

I can't have 2 roos and one hen. lol

Yep, Leroy is a roo. Does the roo in back have white earlobes and yellow legs? If so, you might have a dark brown Leghorn.

Yea he does! Thank you!

Now I just need to figure out which one to re-home...

I really love the Brahamas, but I'd love some variety if/when they mate.

I already love these guys and really don't want to get rid of any of them, but I don't want them killing each other or umm... "Over sexing" the hen. lol

Yup...that's a boy. Those saddle feathers coming in there are pointy and shiny. Instead of getting rid of one roo (if you are really attached to them), couldn't you just get more hens? =)

Ha ha! I would LOVE to, but I had to beg hubbie for these guys! lol I have an MSPCA near by that has livestock (huge farm and great adoption center) so I'm wondering if I can do a trade or something! Ha ha!
