Weather hasn't hit us yet but the hubby and I got over our stomach flu and daughter is now down with it....UGGGGGH! Poor thing in diapers and can't help her do anything about it.

Chickens are faring well under the freezing temps...we got about in the 50's yesterday and today it was in mid 40's and dropping at this hour (10pm CST). I hope we dont get that nasty ice storm we had in Dec....most of our town was out of power for a week! Luckily for us, we had power.

Keep warm folks and be careful out there in the ice!

We are doing pretty good considering the weather and being sick also. DH brought it home from work, and being the kind, sharing guy he is, gave it to me...LOL

We have been having cold heavy rain for 2 days. Now it's supposed to be freezing rain and not getting above freezing for a few days. YUCK!!
We moved all the animals into pens and pastures that have shelter yesterday. The only one I'm concerned about is my blind mare, she hasn't been out of her pasture except to get her feet trimmed since she went completely blind, & now she is in a different small pen, so she will have lots of bumps and scratches from running into things.

We will be hauling water also if it does stay below freezing. At least DH will be home for this, he can't work in this weather. I don't mind sharing the hauling water chores with him at all....he he he.

He just walked through here, and said to tell y'all we're gonna have a cook out tomorrow, so y'all come!!!

Thanks, BeckT. I found it when I was doing my website.

Its freezing rain here today. So far, so good. I plan on staying home today. I'll have to go out & check everybody soon. They drink alot of water when its cold! But they don't seem to mind going out. Crazy birds!

I tried to load one from my computer, but it was taking so long, I gave up.
How do I get one to you to load?

I had tried again, and got pic resized to 100 x 75, but it said it was still too large.
I will download your suggestion in this thread, and will play with it for awhile and see if I can get that to work for me in case I want to change the avatar.

I'm guessing that the size being "too big" is related to the file size (in kilobytes). Some programs don't resize very well. Here's what I'd try to do:

1) Resize to 99 pixels and see what happens
2) If it is a jpg, save it as a gif. If a gif, save as a jpg.

I'm a huge fan of irfanview and have used it religiously for about 8 years. Everyone that I've told about it (and has used it) loves it. Free, fast, easy.
