Have two older hens already laying and three that are 18 weeks. One of the two easter eggers just laid her first egg today. YAH!! Neither one has shown laying egg signs. The third one is a California white and comb is red and she has been squatting since since last week. I'm assuming I can give them all layer food now ?

Layer feed has lower protein and could slow down growth and maturity if switched too soon. I would either switch to an All Flock or keep them on a non medicated grower. Put out a separate bowl of oyster shells for the extra calcium needs. I personally don't feed layer anymore.

I see no harm in it at this age.
Personally I try to wait til all the pullets are laying.
I have some slow maturing breeds though so they start months later then EE and most breeds bred for laying.
