Ok...give me tips...I pick them up Sat.

So I'm going to pick up my 6 EE's and 3 Black Austrolorps on Saturday. I'm being told they are pullets (but just in case) I want to know what to look for so I get pullets.

I have 3 EE's but they were luck of the draw 2 hens/1 roo...

Are they day old chicks or older chicks?

By the time I get to them they will be about 5 or 6 days old.

Try to pick the more feathered out ones and go for the ones with smaller legs... It's very hard to tell at that age though.

Thankx guys... I couldn't wait til Sat. so we went to pick up my order today...Came home with my 6 EE's 3 BA's and 2 Pekin ducklings...

They are adorable!!! Hope they are all pullets! I don't look at how an animal is acting to decide which one! Bit me in the but once and now no more. Got my male lab Harley twelve years ago and we picked him out of 8 others because he was the one sitting off to the side all calm and looking so well behaved!! WRONG!!! I swear he is the most hyper lab I have ever had. Now with arthritis and old age he is a lot calmer but still gets all spastic now and again!!!!
