OK, here's another suspected roo. What do you think?

Was hard to get a good, closeup pic. He/she kept moving around. The comb isn't as big as the red chick's comb from my post yesterday but it seems to be getting wattles, which I haven't encountered in any of my other chicks at such a young age (about 1 month). Also, this is currently the largest chick of the bunch. Its eyes seem bigger to me than the other chickens but maybe could be since it's from another source and so different strains...

anyway, I'm not sure what breed it could be if it's a roo. When I first saw it, I assumed a black sex-link pullet because it looked quite a bit like my other two did at that age.

So, what do you all think?

oh boy...

If I've got 3 boys among 11 girls, that'll be a problem. I don't think I could bring myself to "cull" any of them

Well, this was pretty much the best one I got out of like 25 of them. lol! Non-stop movement, I guess. There are some others on my camera, though, so maybe a few different bad ones together might make up for it? Let's see...

yeah, I posted about that other one in the pic yesterday and everyone said roo... so with this black one and my older EE, that makes 3 boys and 11 girls. These two smaller ones were given to me by someone who had no space for chickens. Someone whose kid was in 4-H or something dumped them off on her cause "oh, you have a farm." She has horses, not chickens.

I'm just not sure what to do. 3 roos are too many, right?

It all depends. If they grew up together, then they might get along, but there will probably be one dominant one, and the other 2 will be submissive. the other 2 probably will not even crow or anything, because the dominant one.

Gosh, I hope so. The other one is about a month older and not together with the younger ones, but there's only chicken wire between the older and the younger ones so they all know each other exists. My older one is very pretty... and friendly so far. I hope he remains dominant
