OK I admit, I'm a bad chicken owner...

Hey
I'm in Florida too...over near Tallahassee. I really have to watch for mites. I wonder if it is our weather? Also mine have been moulting like mad. I have 11 hens and am getting from one to four eggs now. Only problem is three of the eggs are seramas!

On the worming...if you just used seven dust to get the mites you can worm them at the same time. Do a search for Dawg53 worming and you can see the best advice I have found on that.

Alright everyone is back in their coop now mite free, and soon to be worm free we used wazine when we watered them tonight, and in two weeks I am going to use ivomec. But this one poor little EE got the bad end of the deal. Went out to check on them in the morning, about 2 hours later my roommate went out for her morning smoke and the poor thing had been attacked to the point his butt was truly ripped off. It was a complete bloody mess.

I discovered that my other hobby playing with oils, aromatherapy, and natural stuff paid off. Made this awesome ointment a while ago for eczyma and other skin stuff, took his butt from a completely raw bloody mess to that looks painful but not that bad within 24 hours. So I guess one distraction wasn't that bad!

Thank you for all the help everyone

Christal
