ok-I am a dork-I fell asleep in the new coop with the chickens!!

and must i say...this story is soooo funny and that you got caught makes it even funnier!

the other day me and my 7 & 3 yr. old dd's cleaned the coop and then i dumped a big pile of the shavings in the middle and then I told the girls to spread it around and I turned around and they both jumped in it like a pile of fall leaves!~

Gotta love it.

couldnt help it--I have fallen in love with my babies--A year ago I wouldnt have touched one-bleah the smell-afraid of being pecked the mess---no way....my nails were always manicured hair done up-makeup on--now I only do that on work days-the weekends are for all my babies hahaha

Yeah~ I just put in new shavings and some new hens in the big hen-room on the property we just moved to. All sweet-smelling and bright.

I realized I needed to get a bench (and keep a lil' cupboard with some towels to put down) and perhaps put up some curtains... it's my new favorite place... maybe a mini-fridge...

and yeah... they came and found me. Something about dinner...

I dunno.. I had kind of a sweet, pre-raphaelite style painting image spring forth in my mind when I read that: a woman in a peasant over-dress sitting on sheaves of barley, holding her hens in her lap, long hair flowing over them, illuminated by shafts of afternoon sunlight streaming in through the open barn door...
