Which is better, and whats the difference, between forced and still air? Seriously I never thought choosing a bator could be so hard!

I think forced air has a fan and still air doesnt. But I built my incubator so hopefully someone with a store bought one will confirm this.

forced air is better, it circulates the air which lends to a more even temperature.

from what I understand a fan will keep the incubator from having hot spots and keeps a more even temperature over all the eggs. I have a fan and have a 100% hatch rate but I've only completed four hatches. It will be interested to see the pros and cons of both.

thats what I was thinking. I didnt know if one os better than the other for poultry as opposed to water fowl. Wont DH be sooooo happy to have eggs peeping and jumping in the middle of the night!?!
