What did you name your chicks ?

Pics
I try to come up with generally old-fashioned names that match their breed name or their looks. For example, my black polish has a mop of white feathers on her head, so she is “Phyllis”, as in “Phyllis Diller” (ok, I’m old!). “Mabel and Martha Marans”, “Violet” (lavender Ameracana), “Ruby” (red hen), etc. Hope this inspires you!
I love the Phillis Diller name. She was so funny. Her husband had lost his job and came home and said well if you don't get a job we're all going to die. She said have you looked at me I'm ugly what can I do to make money. She became a comedian and she was hilarious 😂. She told a joke and said when she was born the doctor slapped her mom and said why did you have that baby. I'm not quoting her but you get the jist

Our red chicken is called Cinnamon, her sister Rosie ( short for Rosinante, we live in Spain 😉) and the dark one is Maroni. Not very original but it works for us 😅.

We've always named our chickens, but we are running out of names too. Names make it easier for us to identify them.
Here we go:
First set of chickens (both hens): Hubby named the 2 RI Reds after his favorite radio hosts....Jeff and Amanda. I had the worst time trying to explain to my hubby that both were ladies.

Then came chickens abandoned on our porch!: They all turned out to be female Leghorns and it was my turn to name them....Hawkeye, (she's hawk color) Whitie, (from the Bowery Boys) and Trisha. (hubby likes Trisha Yearwood)

A Leghorn rooster got abandoned on our porch!: He became George of the Jungle and was beat up by Jeff and Amanda. Jeff held him down with her big claw, and Amanda plucked out all his tail feathers!

Then we got 2 RI Reds and 1 Black Star off Craigslist: They became the NBA....Natalie, Braveheart, and Abbey.

Whitie died and hubby decided to replace her, but chicken math took over. We wound up with 10 lovely Black Star/Sex Linked ladies.: Ethel, (as in Ethel on I Love Lucy) Mertle, (as in Lilo and Stitch) Queenie, (named by my AI assistant PI) Ellie Mae, (Beverly Hillbillies) and need to think of some more names I guess.

I’m looking for name inspo!
We’ve hatched a whole bunch out and now I need to start thinking of names!!
So what names do your chickens have? 😍
I really wanted old lady names for my chickens! But my 4 year old had other ideas. Now they've all got a dessert/fruit themed name.

Lemon meringue pie
Strawberry shortcake
Chocolate milk aka milkshake
Raspberry turnover
Blueberry muffin
Skittle

Then when we hatched out our second set we kept loosely to the theme with:
Pumpkin pie
Ginger snap
Nutmeg (because pumpkin and ginger)
Sugar plum
And our roo that lives with the hens is called professor plum

Both plums are lavender orpingtons so I wanted a purple theme name lol.

We also have three roos living in a bachelor flock who we named:
Colonel Mustard
Sargent Pepper
And Captain Crunch (formerly named clove because he's the brother of nutmeg. But clove didn't sound good enough with the other very official sounding roos!)

My sister did a golden girls theme + Laverne & Shirley ( who ended up being a roo I now call Sirley)

My current flock:
Caramel (Cara for short)

If you want the names to stick well, what I found helpful was to make a list with twice as many possible names as chickens and shell them out once you one tell them apart by personality.
I, personally, don't like doing matching names (like salt and pepper) incase something happens to one of them, but an overarching theme is nice!
Also, two syllables and ends with a y or ie will get your chickens' attention better over time. Some of mine only respond to "chookies" instead of their name.

My chickens names, but it's a list with every chicken I've ever had.
