I wanna get a white silkie (or other crested breed) and name it Q-tip

Last Christmas I fostered 2 white silky with my stubborn silkie hen who wouldn't stop being broody (6 weeks!) - someone suggested Holly and Jolly.

Jolly is a boy and was rehomed they call him Elvis now. Holly the brat has been broody 4 times and won't be a yr old until Christmas. She has already co-brooded a bunch of Noirans with her mama (another broody brat!). It was hillarious when those Noiran chicks were 6 weeks old and the size of their mamas!

Noirans were named french names:
Virginie
Odette
Giselle
Vera (not french, it was my grandmother's name)

We went with Chip, Little Girl, Doris, Lucy, and Clarice for the OG's Our new teenagers and toddlers have not been given names as of yet. We watch them and talk to them to see what name develops.

We like naming our chicks for the year similarly. One year we chose names that all started with B and had a Bacon, Bouncy, Bella, and Bruno. This year, we named ours after spices and herbs, Nutmeg, Parsley, Lavender, and Elote.

My kids are obsessed with Paw Patrol. Hence all my chickens are named after the pups (Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Skye, Everest, etc.) Now my son calls them pups, not chickens.
