Oh my goodness.... This sounds so much like my miracle baby.
I had to help him hatch, he wasn't holding up his head or standing once out.
It took him I know 3 full days to get up on his feet. One leg was splayed, one
was fine. He lived, and was walking, and eating and drinking and pooping, then
at one week old, somone let my dog in the room, and I belive my baby's neck was
broken, and he died. I don't think I've ever loved achicken so much. I sat down and
cried like a baby.
Heres the thread on his story, and why he was such a miracle -

Well, this is what I did to get him on his feet - All this info was given to me by the wonderful people
on BackYard Chickens.
I put a band-aid splint on his legs - first thing. -link below-
Sugar water or electrolytes - Every 30 minutes to an hour until bedtime. First thing in the morning, I offer more water
Boiled egg yolk - offered every hour or so. until bed time. Offered again first thing in the morning.
For electrolytes = I just take a small pinch for 1 quart of water. Seems like
it's not enough, but it is.
For sugar water = add 3 table spoons per qaurt of water.
After he was on his feet I started giving him play dates with the most gentle, smallest chicks I had.
They taught him how to eat starter. There IS hope - please, do not give up.
