Now I am not sure, but in the last three days I have heard the president referred to as Mr. Obama. My first thought was that this is disrespectful. I just don't know and would like to know if anyone knows. I thought even ex-presidents had to be called president whatever and forever. One time I heard it on ABC by a Tom guy (can't remember the last name) and now I just heard it on our local news here in St. Louis, our local news. Anybody know?

Protocool is that they are "Mr. President" when spoken to for the rest of thier lives. When speaking about it's "President name". As to the whys I'll leave that alone.

My other thought is they are some how trying to project their own political views by referring to him as "Mr. Obama" just not sure. Anybody else?

OK, I won't It is just an innocent question, I was just wondering. I personally just think it is very bad for anyone to do it ,no matter what the political view or orientation. I think I might e-mail my local station.
